Herbs to Get Rid of Parasites

Colon cleansing is a very effective treatment to get rid of various health ailments related to intestines, especially the parasites infestation in the bowels. Colon, being the major component of the digestive system, if gets out of order, there are series of sufferings for other bodily organs since almost all the organs in the body depends upon the colon to get nourished. Parasites, on the other hand, stay within the colon, grow and then start harming the organ internally. Furthermore, goldenseal tincture and Oregon grape roots are well known for its efficacy towards malaria and giardiasis whereas, prickly ash is good for eliminating pinworms. Cloves (powdered) creates poisonous environment for the larvae before they hatch and hence is considered to be one of the best herbal colon cleansing agent especially in case of worm infestation in the intestines.

Some of the Ayurvedic herbs such as Butea monosperma and Emblica ribes have been practiced to cure various health ailments related to intestines, especially the worms and parasites since centuries in Indian territories.

All herbs that possess natural anthelminthic properties can be used to cleanse the colon in various ways such as enema or simply taking them internally. They are herbs and hence with minimal or no side/unwanted effects. They can be either used alone or can be used as in formula that may contain the blend/combination of these herbs. However, the dosage depends upon the age of the patient and the degree of the parasite infestation. One has to consult herbalist before undergoing any kind of herbal therapy for colon cleansing since if it is performed well, there could be complications.
